Red Lion Spicy Foods Logo Black Death Chili

 

2 lbs. ground beef
1 lb. ground hot Italian sausage
1 8 oz. can tomato sauce (Rotel Original if available)
1 10.5 oz. can Rotel Diced Tomatoes With Green Chiles
2 12 oz. Guinness Stout or Black IPA beer
1 14.5 oz. can beef broth 1 medium onion, diced
1 red habanero, minced
2 TBS. cumin
1 package Red Lion Spicy Foods Company XX-Hot Chili Powder

 

Cook meat over medium heat untill browned, about 10 minutes. Remove meat from the pot and drain.
Add onion with a little oil and sweat until translucent, about 5 minutes.
Add the tomato sauce, broth, beer chile and chili powder to the pot and stir to blend.
Return the meat to the pot.
Simmer for 2 hours, then add the cumin. Simmer an additional 20 minutes until the chili has thickened.
Serve with diced onions, pickled jalapenos and pinto beans on the side.
