Red Lion Spicy Foods Logo Low Carb Chili #2

 

1 lb. lean ground beef
1 lb. ground pork
2 slices bacon, minced
1/2 cup onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, pressed
1 cup green bell pepper, chopped
2 jalapeno chiles, seeded and minced
2 cups beef broth
2 cups chicken broth
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon kosher salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
2 tablespoons Red Lion Spicy Foods Zany Chili Mix
1/2 teaspoon unsweetened chocolate
1 teaspoon Worcestershire Sauce
1 8 oz. can tomato sauce
1 cup mushrooms, chopped

 

In a heavy pot, brown ground beef and pork. Drain and set aside.
Add bacon to pot. Cook until crisp. Add onions, garlic and green pepper.
Cook until soft, about 5 minutes. Add remaining ingredients, bring to a boil.
Reduce heat to low and simmer 3 hours.

 

Makes 12 servings of 1/2 cup each. Approximately 5 grams carbs per serving.
